Lock & Dams

Lock and Dams have been in place for over a hundred years to improve navigation through our rivers. They eventually get outdated and antiquated as a result they must be replaced. Our job is to come in and safely and successfully blast the concrete structure. Our blasters understand the patterns and methods to efficiently blast the structure for removal.

Lock & Dam 52

Brookport, IL

Lock & Dam 52 was the 19th lock and dam on the Ohio River. The lock was completed in 1929 and runs 2998'. The Olmstead Lock and Dam that was put into place in 2018 made Lock 52 obsolete.
